Senior Financial Analyst

Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The financial analyst helps provide high quality support to other corporate departments and facilities to assist in their execution of departmental and company objectives through modelling, financial / operational analysis, and reporting

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including revenue, cost, profitability and return on investment; prepare reports, presentations and projections based on this analysis

• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and forecasting

• Review of enterprise budgeting process and preparation of materials for executive and board review

• Monitor and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual performance against budgets and forecasts

• Support strategic initiatives by providing financial analysis and business case development

• Partner with senior management to evaluate new business opportunities, M&A, organic development and other capital investments

• Collaborate with operational teams to identify and implement financial performance improvement initiatives.

• Coordinating with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts

• Implement and optimize financial analysis tools and systems improved data analysis and decision making

• Other adhoc projects as needed

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, Master's preferred.

• 5+ years of experience, preferably in a multi-location healthcare setting

• Knowledge of office administration procedures with the ability to operate most standard office equipment.

• Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.

• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.

• Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.

• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.

• Capable of working within established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the organization.

• English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• PREFERRED: CPA or MBA
