JOB SUMMARY
SPX Flow is seeking an analytical Senior Financial Analyst. As a Senior Financial Analyst of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will assist with the development of SPX Flow's quarterly financial forecast and annual budgeting processes and play a key role in driving financial initiatives across the Company. The FP&A team provides data-driven and strategic support to senior management and acts as the analytical engine of the company by delivering insights and supporting 'optimal' business decision-making through forecasting, financial modeling, and analytics.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Financial Analyst will be a valued member of the Finance team in its on-going efforts to meet and exceed financial targets. This position will report directly to the Director of FP&A for the Mixer's Portfolio. This position will support the business with analysis and reporting of financial results. They will be responsible for the following:
Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams across the business to monitor and analyze forecasts
Assist in the creation of customized analytics to help assess the profitability of the businesses and products across the company
Support business partners by providing financial insights and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities
Compile, reconcile and review financial results against budget/forecast and prior year, and assist with developing updated forecasts
Identify and explain variances to provide insights to key stakeholders
Provide data and analytical support for the Company's quarterly and annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports to be used for predictive modeling, and identify drivers of business results
Track the performance of sites against forecasts
Support capital expenditure approval process
Assist with preparation of presentations to communicate the Company's results and forecasts to senior management, and other key stakeholders
Continuous improvement projects
Drive, develop, and improve standard processes and procedures by identifying trends, inefficiencies, and gaps in financial processes
Provide actionable recommendations to address challenges, streamline processes, increase productivity, and improve financial performance
Drive consistent reporting and tracking of productivity
Participate in other projects (as assigned), that relate to the overall goals of the department and enterprise
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
OneStream experience required
PowerBi, SAP, and BW4Hana experience preferred
Accounting and finance knowledge
Ability to manage and analyze large data sets, advanced Excel skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial statements
Skill and experience working with mathematical concepts in preparing reports and spreadsheets
Proficient financial modeling, analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and a solid business acumen
A strong work ethic and personal accountability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivation and direction, strong initiative and the ability to work independently
Outstanding organization and prioritization skills with excellent attention to detail
Ability to follow company policies and procedures
Professional manner and strong ethical code
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting or finance required.
Minimum 3-5 of experience as a financial analyst required.
Manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge of US GAAP.
Strong financial and data analysis skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Good verbal and written communication skills combined with interpersonal skills.
