What we do:

The Senior Finance Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the collection, validation, and transformation of data for financial reporting. The Senior Finance Systems Analyst will have a holistic view of data sources, processes, outputs and the ability to trouble shoot and resolve problems related to matching up data sources, data repositories and reporting for the finance department with a focus on revenue. The Senior Finance Systems Analyst will work with finance personnel to understand the finance department information and reporting needs from an IT perspective. The Senior Finance Systems Analyst will develop a strong understanding of the current financial applications, processes and data and work to build out solutions for reporting on finance. The Senior Finance Systems Analyst will obtain and maintain an understanding of TTD's finance systems infrastructure and help the finance org design and implement changes within or complementary to the infrastructure.

What you'll do:

  • Gain an understanding our finance team's reporting needs and determine the best tool for accommodating these reporting requirements. Tools currently include Incorta, Oracle ERP, Oracle EPM, Snowflake, Vertica, Anaplan, Alteryx, and Tableau.

  • Gather reporting requirements through workshops, questionnaires, surveys, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods, and document report requirements.

  • Design and develop the process to retrieve data from source systems and create reports on the reporting tool(s).

  • Design and develop reporting solutions for end users with various reporting requests across the following financial modules: AR, AP, GL, FA, Expense Reporting, Payroll

  • Reconcile data and information from reporting tools back to source systems and vice versa. Assist in ensuring the integrity of the data in the data warehouse or reporting systems.

  • Assist with building out solutions to "bridge the gap" between manual processes and IT tools and then, when the time comes to transition to a non-MS Excel/Access tool, build the solutions in a more scalable tool.

  • Assist with testing and implementation of bug fixes and enhancements of finance systems.

  • Assist in implementing business process improvements.

  • Provide oversight and direction to development resources for finance-related business intelligence systems projects.

  • Responsible for production support of all developed reports and databases.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's Degree with experience in a similar role.

  • Experience in data modeling, SQL, PLSQL including stored procedures, functions, packages, views, and performance tuning.

  • Proficient in SQL

  • Familiarity with Python

  • Strong understanding of data warehouse design principles and structures.

  • Significant hands-on experience with BI reporting / Analytics tools such as Tableau, Incorta, Alteryx.

  • Must have a functional understanding of typical corporate software systems - such as ERP, HRIS and other related systems.

  • Prior experience with data modeling around Oracle ERP databases

  • Must be completely proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Strong critical and analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong experience with data profiling, data mapping and data mining.

  • Outstanding communication skills - including written and verbal communications, interpersonal, analytical, negotiating and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to juggle multiple high priorities and have a willingness to learn.

  • Should love data and showing others the power it holds.

  • Strong desire to expand knowledge, drive innovation and create solutions.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is$84,600-$155,100 USD
