PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
This position is responsible for the execution of key responsibilities within the finance organization reporting to the Cloud Business Group Chief Financial Officer. Senior Finance Specialist is fully accountable and operates independently to achieve desired results. The candidate will manage escalation of issues and projects/activities of moderate risk. Critical issues will be presented to leadership for resolution. The candidate will partner closely with internal customers, external counterparts, peers and management at the global, regional or local level. The candidate may lead one or more projects and is focused on process improvement, change management, and act as a transformation agent. Commitment to excellence and attention to detail is a must.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Candidate must have a strong understanding of costs to deliver cloud services.
Expert-level analytical and financial modeling skills is required.
Responsible for analyzing financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data to identify trends in financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Analyze current and past financial data and performance and establish and evaluate profit plans.
Prepare reports and projections based on this analysis to provide financial models and what-if scenarios.
Explore potential investment opportunities and offer recommendations.
Ability to identify proper external benchmarks to be utilized on financial analysis.
Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
Experience conducting cost/benefit analysis.
Great presentation skills and the ability to influence and persuade others.
Comfortable presenting to C-level management and able to identify key concepts to be presented.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines.
Leadership aptitude is a must.
Critical thinking and problem-solving proficiency.
Knowledge of ERP systems and related technologies.
Support regular and ad hoc reporting requests globally
Provide a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
5+ years of finance experience, preferably in financial modeling, financial or strategic consulting, and investment banking
Ability to collaborate within and outside of immediate operational department.
Demonstrated ability for independent thinking and multi-tasking under aggressive deadlines with high degree of accuracy in a complex "matrix" environment.
Proven ability to plan pro-actively, anticipate issues and have excellent problem resolution records with little or no input or assistance. Excellent follow-through.
Dedication to customer/organization success.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred
Expert level in Microsoft Excel
Fluent in English and able to effectivly present to C-Suite
Experience with SAP solutions preferred
Strong analytical skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
