Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) is looking for a Senior Financial Operations Analyst to join our team. This is a hybrid role based out of our Houston, TX Office.

SCOPE:

The Senior Finance Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting MHIA and its affiliates financial infrastructure. This role focuses on the optimization of processes acting as a Change Agent to implement process/technology improvement initiatives and provide input to align process objectives, share best practices, and identify improvement opportunities cross-functionally.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Measure and report progress on financial close activities and review case activities. Develop and distribute reports to provide updates to key stakeholders on progress. Develop checks and balances process to manage the close process to ensure all required activities are completed.
Work with key affiliate and BPO stakeholders to better understand reconciling variances.
Establish and manage metrics to measure service performance, quality, and customer satisfaction for end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) process management.
Collaborating with the other tower leads in identifying and executing process improvement initiatives.
Responsible for R2R and O2C process areas and ensures the process operates efficiently and effectively.
Escalate process issues to respective affiliate in a timely and structured approach.
Ensure Service Provider is trained to analyze and resolve reconciling variances for balance sheet account ending balances.
Perform and complete the monthly and quarterly financial closing process for FSD. Support the FSD budgetary process and monitor actual costs versus budget.
Oversee the allocation for Service Provider and FSD costs across the Affiliate organizations on a periodic basis. Administration of invoicing to affiliates and headquarters to capture costs incurred.
Responsible for ERP security access/role management provided to Service Provider across all Affiliates and ensure segregation of duties (SOD) conflicts are avoided.
Act as SharePoint system administrator for FSD site including content, design, and user access.
Liaison for IT Support team responsible for Service Provider Azure environment and assist with troubleshooting issues.
Assume role as project lead for all R2R and O2C projects.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by FSD Management.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Finance or Accounting from four-year College or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: At least At least four (4) years of experience in finance operations, accounting, or a similar role.
Any special skills/training/certifications:

Solid understanding of financial processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
Experience performing financial closing process at a large company.
Proficiency in business process modeling, requirement elicitation and implementation.
Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with SharePoint or similar platforms.
Great interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Travel: Up to 20% by land and/or air including domestic and international travel.
Weekend/outside normal standard hours required: Occasionally to accommodate for different time zones.
Lifting/physical requirements: Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
