Amazon is seeking a Senior Finance Manager for its World Wide Seller Fulfillment Services business, an area that is integral to the Amazon flywheel. This role will support the business initiatives related to Seller fulfillment and will have high visibility to essential, business-critical processes that will enable implementation of new projects and business launches. This position will also play a leadership role in driving growth and scale for Veeqo, a newly acquired business which offers a best-in-class multi-channel Order Management System which enables faster and more accurate delivery experience for customers.

Amazon is seeking a Senior Finance Manager for its WW Seller Fulfillment Services business, an area that is integral to the Amazon flywheel. This role will support the business initiatives related to Seller fulfillment and will have high visibility to essential, business-critical processes that will enable implementation of new projects and business launches. This position will also play a leadership role in driving growth and scale for Veeqo, a newly acquired business which offers a best-in-class multi-channel Order Management System which enables faster and more accurate delivery experience for customers.

The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for business partnering, decision support, financial modeling, controllership and operations cost reduction for our WW Product, Tech, Operations and Business Team. This person will partner with multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis, insightful guidance, and financial leadership to this high-growth organization. This role requires extensive cross-functional partnership with various retail, transportation, and finance teams to identify best practices across the network and lead cost improvement efforts for operations. It also requires a self-starter mentality, exceptional team management capabilities and will stretch your leadership skills while also requiring you to digest the complexity of the Amazon Fulfillment network to deliver process improvement. This individual must be an inspirational leader to raise the bar on business judgment, hiring, developing and retaining the best talent to continue to build our world class finance team.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage a team to drive the core financial processes for the organization including Annual Operating Plans, 3 year Strategic Plan, and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews

• Educate business partners on financial and non-financial trade-offs, and make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where data may be scarce or difficult to procure.

• Partner with senior business leaders and develop operational metrics and goal setting to help the team improve performance

• Use active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly. Your communications drive critical business decisions.

• Analyze ROI of different programs/initiatives and generate actionable insights from large amounts of data

• Have backbone, disagree and commit to foster constructive dialogues, harmonize conflicting views, resolve issues, and drive decisions.

• Exhibit social responsibility. Actively recruit bar-raising talent, continuously develop your team, and constructively mentor the Finance community.

• Identify and sponsor Finance-wide professional development and engagement initiatives that plan for the future and strengthen the global Finance community, such as inclusion and diversity initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)
• 10+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 8+ years of finance experience
• 5+ years of direct management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA, or CPA
• 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
• 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $122,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
