This position provides financial leadership to RTG Supply Management and Contract Manufacturing. The role partners with other RTG and Corporate Finance Leaders, Supply Management Leaders and Contract Manufacturing Leaders focusing primarily on leading analyses, processes, and metrics to establish reporting to drive strategies, drive cost savings initiatives and projects, ensure quality, and improve service delivery. This position reports to the RTG Operations Finance Director for Supply Chain, Supply Management and Contract Manufacturing.

A Day in the Life
Lead the financial Planning and Analysis for RTG Global Supply Management and Contract Manufacturing. Provide financial leadership on critical decisions impacting Supply Management and Contract Manufacturing.
Decision support for VP Supply Management and VP Contract Manufacturing and their leadership teams.
Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgeting and forecasting process for RTG Supply Management and Contract Manufacturing across all BUs
Provide actionable reporting and scorecards for Supply Management and Contract Manufacturing.
Drive opportunity assessments in Supply Management and Contract Manufacturing to define strategies to improve performance.
Develop and maintain highly capable decision support methods and techniques for both strategic and ongoing tactical projects.
Drive process improvement and improved controls for FP&A Activities, improve accuracy & timeliness of analysis and reduce process cycle times
Develop & maintain weekly short-term forecasting process for mid-quarter trajectory adjustments providing business partners advanced warning to put mitigations in place
Provide financial modeling on Supply Management and Contract Manufacturing strategic plan, strategic projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. Examples include, but are not limited to:
Develop business cases, world-class analytics and models to drive timely decision making, visibility, performance & predictability
Lead PPV forecasting, analyze supplier savings, manage rebates and discounts, should cost modeling, payment terms, supplier selection & rationalization
Deployment of consistent models to support decisions making & 6% cost down achievement (i.e. NPV models, make vs buy decisions)
Perform ad hoc strategic projects as requested
Partner on supplier rationalization projects and key leverage indicators
Lead Cost to Serve Modeling / TCO analysis on vendor selection and to ensure the best outcome for RTG is achieved.
Partner with Manufacturing teams to assess internal capabilities for insourcing opportunities, while driving supplier capability assessments, exit strategies, financial and quality risk measurements, and service delivery performance.
Identify through robust analysis, reporting, and scorecards cost improvement opportunities within RTG Supply Management and Contract Manufacturing.
Lead period-end (both monthly and quarterly) results:
Review monthly performance indicators, variance reports, cost pools, and drivers of spend with Supply Management, Contract Manufacturing and Finance Leadership to identify financial savings opportunities, ensure timely partnership with the business units around reporting, analytics, and education/messaging.
Lead monthly/quarterly analysis of RTG Supply Management and Contract Manufacturing KPI's/metrics including communications with RTG Operations and RTG Finance partners.
Manage RTG Business units' financial updates for monthly Global Supply Management and Contract Manufacturing reporting packages, including Group level Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR's), and presentations to Operations leadership.
Lead talent management and development activities for a team of 5 finance professionals
All activities must be performed in compliance with the Quality System.
Performs duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies or governmental regulations.
All other duties as assigned.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
7+ years business experience with a Bachelor's Degree; or, 5+ years business experience with a Master's Degree;
5 years of managerial experience
Exceptional leadership and business partnering skills
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and ability to work with various levels of management
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong quantitative analysis and problem solving skills
Strong communication, presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills
High integrity and self-confidence
Solid accounting (GAAP), financial and business management foundation
Proficient in Microsoft Office package (Excel - including use of macros and lookup tables, Word, PowerPoint)
Nice to Have:
Medtronic business unit experience
Experience with GFS/Hyperion Essbase, Spend, and SAP
Experience in Manufacturing Operations, Supply Management or Contract Manufacturing
MBA / CPA
Ability to work well under pressure and maintain positive, enthusiastic attitude
Eagerness to learn and expand responsibilities
High degree of initiative and self-motivation
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
