Senior Manager, Cost of Payments

Location: SJC / ATX

Level: 26

Managed Payments will drive growth and profitability for eBay in the years to come. As trusted partners and subject matter experts, Payments Finance will enable our business leaders to delight our customers while realizing maximum value.

  • Be the Strategic Finance lead for the company's goal of reducing the Cost of Payments globally

  • Partner effectively with BU/Controlling/Analytics - be the bridge between the three functions.

  • Leverage broader Payments org (i.e. BU leads / Analytics / Product / Regional leads) to develop a focused strategy to manage cost of payments long-term, by driving full transparency and visibility into the financial considerations

  • Execute competitive benchmarking, consumer research, and data analytics to inform and support this focused strategy of managing cost of payments

  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, additional revenue streams, other optimizations by building relevant business cases

  • Educate the broader Payments team on the understanding of Payments Finance's principles, strategy, accounting policies, and accurate financial reporting / forecasting

  • Be a relevant partner by developing financial rigor and understanding of the return on investment of business decisions related to our forms of payment offerings; own the long-term financial outlook.

  • Support leadership in driving broader business investment decisions

  • Oversee and manage the monthly Cost of Payments forecast / yearly budget process and coordinate the preparation of required materials for sharing with key stakeholders.

  • Lead and develop a team of analyst responsible for

  • Work at pace and prioritize across multiple projects to maximize business impact

Required Skills:

  • Strong communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to quickly adjust between strategic conversations with leadership and technical conversations with Analytics, and to translate between the two

  • Data visualization and interpretation - use the massive amounts of data we have to tell the appropriate story.

  • Advanced Financial modelling and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience with SAP BW/SAP ECC

  • Anaplan experience an asset

  • SQL Skills an asset

  • Experience in Payments/Financial Services an asset

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$126,800 - $187,550

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
