This position is within Reynolds American Services Companya subsidiary that provides support services, including compliance, HR, law, finance, information management, and more to all of the subsidiaries of RAI.

The Senior Manager position is an is an integral part of the RAI Services Company Finance team with tremendous career growth opportunities. This position serves as a liaison between Finance, Consumer Marketing, and Senior Leadership. Potential candidates must be able to understand business requirements, market conditions, and demand patterns. This role also plays an important part in supporting our strategic pricing, commercial decisions, and impacts performance and profitability. Responsibilities include P&L forecasting, strategy development, business partnering, and coaching and developing Finance team members. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, and ability to articulate financial strategy, results, and forecasts to Senior Leadership.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Building financial models and P&Ls for business cases

  • Identify business levers and recommendations that drive profitability

  • Develop business/operational metrics to provide key guidance to the organization

  • Provide leadership and coordination to drive continuous department improvement

  • Communicate assumptions and sensitivities that may drive variability to leadership

  • Work closely with other departments to develop and implement strategic plans

  • Present and communicate to Leadership the forecasts, performance, and potential risks/opportunities of financial performance

  • Collaborate with business partners, and influence commercial decisions

Job Requirements:

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area

Experience in financial analysis/modeling or related analytical field required
5+ years of experience in Accounting, Financial Analysis, or related area

Preferred Education:

CPA, MBA or MAC

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of finance / analytics

  • High proficiency in PC skills and detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel

  • Working knowledge of SAP or related financial system

  • Understanding of consumers, customers, opportunities and risks to drive business growth

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to think strategically, assess risk, recommend solutions, and clearly articulate a recommendation

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Business Partners, and influence commercial decisions

  • Demonstrate strategic thinking with strong influencing and leadership skills

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to make quick decisions, use good judgment, ask relevant questions

Consumer Marketing – Vapor Pipeline & Regulatory Engagement Manager We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and passionate individual to join our marketing team in the Pipeline & Regulatory role and be a part of an exciting opportunity to change the tobacco landscape and reimagine a new world for adult nicotine consumers. The team is accountable for developing future focused pipeline of products and platforms to drive sustainable brand growth through innovation and consumer driven insights to oversee product launch initiatives and go-to-market next generation product (NGP) strategies. The Senior Manager, Pipeline & Regulatory Engagement will be responsible for helping to define strategic brand initiatives and serve as the lead in the implementation and execution of these initiatives. He/she will collaborate to help identify consumer and market insights/trends and help turn them into commercialization opportunities supporting our NGP growth and transformation vision. He/she will collaborate in the development of new categories, products, and/or brands and serve as the lead to support the commercialization of new brand propositions through internal processes including stage and gate and regulatory compliance. This role will also be responsible for ensuring the organization can achieve our transformation agenda by serving as the key brand marketing lead for adhering to our FDA process to bring to life NGP initiatives. In this role, you will serve as the key liaison between the commercial marketing arm of the business and the regulatory team for NGP, including ensuring all NGP brand marketing materials (packaging, product and marketing materials) are finalized and in a state of readiness to support the appropriate FDA application submission and process. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Pre Market Tobacco Application (PMTA) Deadline requirements (deliver all brand assets and strategic recommendations required for the May 2020 PMTA deadline and beyond) * Kick off planning for next cycle of PMTA deliverables for the immediate organic product pipeline * Input consumer insight and brand desires into product briefs working with R&D and SP&I * Provide regulatory updates as they impact the commercial business to the Vapor business team * Lead the glo (Innovative heat-not-burn tobacco product/brand) USA Modified Risk Tobacco Product Application (MRTPA) plan: * Overall project management for glo MRTPA * Provide commercial perspective for product/packaging and comms development * Work with global teams and agencies to build the glo USA communications * Finalize US versions of packaging * Collaborate with Senior Director, Consumer Insights, and R&D teams to leverage consumer insights, consumer segmentation studies, and competitive landscape to identify how to best position NGP ideas and market sizing to lead new category growth. * Collaborate with Senior Director on new product strategy in coordination with relevant IBG teams, R&D, and others involved in the NGP process. * Collaborate with Senior Director in the development of future forward ideas and research briefs to inform NGP initiatives. * Assist in the adoption of NGP ideas to help turn rough concepts into commercial brand ideas for flawless execution through the 4D model: Define, Discover, Develop, and Deploy. * Collaborate with Senior Director for internal and external briefings with cross-functional teams and external agencies in the development of NGP initiatives. * Lead the flawless execution of approved NGP initiatives internally with cross-functional teams and assigned business resources. * Lead the coordination of the FDA application submission process along with leading internal processes (such as Stage and Gate, Marketing Resources Management (MRM) and others) for future focused pipeline of categories, products, and/or brands. * Effectively articulate and gain support for new thinking and strategy shifts, and lead change throughout the organization when appropriate. * Monitor competitive activity and consumer/marketplace trends and implications; provide insights and recommendations for competitive advantage and/or product development. * Ensure that corporate strategy and regulatory guidelines are imbedded in all product development. * Serve as the primary lead for NGP FDA application requirements and associated timing. * Work closely with LEX and regulatory teams to influence approved brand regulatory strategy, support modified risk campaigns, and all regulatory communication requirements needed to support FDA product submissions and associated deadlines.
