Job Description Summary
This is a critical leadership role of our Power Conversion sites within the Electrical Power Systems division of GE Aerospace. Housing around 350 employees across Supply Chain, Programmes, Commercial, Engineering and Support Functions and two sites, this business is a growing business of around $120M per annum revenues across the entire product life cycle of its products and services. It participates in both civil and defence markets with multiple new product introductions in the recent past and planned across the next several years.
Job Description
The role is a key role within the site leadership team and reports directly into the Divisional CFO. You will be expected to partner with your site teams to develop and execute profitable growth strategies for the business and managing associated risk. In addition, to actively participate in the future growth and strategic direction of the wider Electrical Power Systems division.
You will be responsible for the delivery of an effective and efficient Finance function as a whole for your business. You will need to partner with FP&A, Engineering Finance, Supply Chain Finance and Controllership & Government Accounting teams in order to manage risk and maximise return for your business.
A key expectation of the role is to continue to develop a culture of 'lean' within Finance and the wider business. In addition, you must prepare the business to be part of a standalone GE Aerospace business in 2024 and ensure the site is prepared and able to execute well in that environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with site Commercial, Product Line, Engineering, HR and Supply Chain & Site Directors to develop and execute profitable growth strategies for the business and managing associated risk
Develop the site Financial & Operating processes to ensure the site is ready to operate with GE Aerospace as a standalone market facing business, including ensuring effective weekly operating reviews to deliver expected growth, revenues, profits and cash flows are in place
Lead site wide transformation projects as required
Lead your Finance function to produce quarterly, annual and long term forecasts and budgets and then drive the business and reporting to execute against them
Partner with Commercial teams to form business strategy and underwrite any commercial deals and bids and aligning to FAR ("Federal Acquisition Regulation") regulations for applicable Defense contracts where required
Partner with Supply Chain, Programmes & Engineering teams to deliver complex New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes and manage the associated risk
Ensure Compliance & Integrity standards are upheld to the highest standard including in the Finance function
Be an Ambassador for Site Diversity & Inclusion networks and ensuring GE Aerospace is considered a great place to work for all
Be a champion of continuous improvement both within and outside of Finance. You are expected to continue to lead the lean transformation for the business and your function, by growing the lean operating muscle for everyone in the business and changing the way we operate
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree. Minimum 5 years of finance experience.
Experience in a large company in a senior financial role
Strong leadership experience working in large, diverse teams
Experience of operating in or reporting to board level executives
Demonstrable past of driving business to deliver results
Track record of working in multiple disciplines of Finance
Experience in leading and participating in transformation and change projects
Strong presentation skills both within and outside of Finance
Understanding of key Accounting standards (IFRS and US GAAP depending upon role) or demonstrable ability to learn new ones where required
Understand FAR regulations and where they apply
Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheets and cash flow statements
Self-starter who can work off their own initiative
Strong analytical mind and the ability to describe not just what happened, but why
Able to fluently speak and write in English language
Preferential Experience and Skills:
Experience working in manufacturing and/or engineering experience
Experience of working in defense including 'cost plus' working arrangements
User of Oracle and associated reporting suites
Organized. Be able to plan, communicate and execute according to defined timescales
Good communicator - both within and outside of the Finance function

The base pay range for this position is $153,000-$205,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the
candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on 12/31/2023.
