Position Summary

The location of this position is open within the U.S.

The Senior Field Support Engineer possesses strong technical and commercial skills relating to the systems and solutions business and works on project assignments that are dependent upon the Job Level (moderate to complex projects). The individual will need to support customers throughout the life cycle of equipment. This will include providing hardware and software engineering, system start-up, maintenance and diagnostics. Provides customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in systems and solutions start-up activities in remote locations and might serve as team leader for commissioning activities

  • Provide product and system level telephone and/or remote diagnostic support to field personnel and customers.

  • Provide engineering assistance to the Systems Engineering team that includes hardware engineering, software engineering, MMI development and writing functional duties

Leadership

  • Serve as a leader in the migration to new products and solutions

  • Help develop strategies that align with specific industry sales activities

  • Communications with project teams to ensure that they have all of the information required to successfully implement projects

  • Displays dedication and concern toward completing work correctly, thoroughly and in an appropriately timely manner

  • Interface appropriately with vendors to ensure the requirements of the order execution are satisfied in a physically responsible manner

Business

  • Holds the customer's interest as first priority.

  • Coordinate customer requirements with engineering and other appropriate departments to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved
