This job will be part of the Services Solutions Group, which helps customers manage test instruments across the instruments' lifecycles - calibration, repair, technology refresh, asset management, consulting, training and product purchase alternatives. With service centers in over 30 countries, Services is a people intensive, local business.

The Services Solutions Group helps customers find new ways to maximize their asset usage, streamline their engineering operations, and achieve lower costs.

Job Description

  • Prior experience is strongly preferred. Applicant should have at least 7 years of related experience in the calibration of electronic and mechanical test equipment.

  • This position requires some education, specialized training/certification, or Military experience.

  • PC (MS Windows/Office) skills are a required.

  • Requires excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrates electronic and mechanical competence.

  • Works with clearly defined objectives on customer service assignments that may be repetitive in nature.

  • Solves technical problems of limited scope and complexity.

  • Performs adjustments, calibrations.

  • Exhibits the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with wide range of people.

  • Adheres to the highest standards of business ethics.

  • Provides consistent, solid contribution to team and service center delivery goals.

  • Exercises good discretion in the use of time and other Keysight resources. Maximizes the use of existing assets and ensures Keysight resources are used properly.

  • Maintains high workmanship standards and delivers on commitments

  • Communicates effectively with internal and external customers. May initiate customer interaction as appropriate. Escalates issues through appropriate channels when necessary. This is done verbally or via written correspondence.

  • Adheres to established production processes and is responsible for achieving established team production goals.

Calibration service technician candidate will support Keysight's customer equipment in a manufacturing environment. Specific duties include: Testing, calibrating instruments to maintain functionality and accuracy. The candidate will be responsible for customer satisfaction through effective communication, innovation, and direct application of technical skills. Working within the designated area of expertise, the candidate will clarify, analyze, develop, and implement actions and solutions while supporting field staff and customers. This position requires calibrations in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be US citizen.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent. Typically 4-5 years relevant experience for entry to this level.

  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience in job and ability to work independently.

Job Description This is an exciting opportunity for a proven technical expert in the repair & Calibration of Test and Measurement Equipment. This is role for a key individual who will work full time at the Keysight Lab and the customer site in the Richardson, Texas area, performing calibration on Keysight & Non-Keysight measurement devices, and repairs on Keysight products. The Calibration Service Technician will support Keysight's customer equipment in a manufacturing environment. Specific duties include: Testing, calibrating instruments to maintain functionality and accuracy. The candidate will be responsible for customer satisfaction through effective communication, innovation, and direct application of technical skills. Working within the designated area of expertise, the candidate will clarify, analyze, develop, and implement actions and solutions while supporting field staff and customers. This position requires calibrations in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be US citizen. Specific duties include: * Establish and maintain close communication with customers to ensure optimal performance of customers' and Keysight Technologies' test equipment assets * Mentor technicians by providing technical coaching on calibration systems, calibration procedures, metrology, remedial repairs, site verification procedures and communication skills * Ensure compatibility between customer expectation and support provided by Keysight Technologies. * Provide advice to customers on environmental factors such as humidity, power, air conditioning, calibration cycle times, etc. * Evaluate test failures, distinguishing between hardware & system software to determine if repair or re-alignment is required * Perform calibration and adjustment procedures on Keysight and non-Keysight products plus Physical Dimensional devices as required. * Understand, and utilize STE, TME, MetCal, HPUX, 11808 and PC based software as required * Install software and firmware upgrades that may include re-image of the customer's instrument * Ability to Performs repairs, on most Keysight products onsite that are critical to customer uptime. * Performs adjustments, calibrations. * Exhibits the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with wide range of people. * Adheres to the highest standards of business ethics. * Provides consistent, solid contribution to team and service center delivery goals. * Exercises good discretion in the use of time and other Keysight resources. Job Qualifications This key role requires the following skills: * Bachelor's Degree, University Degree, Technical School or Military PMEL or equivalent calibration experience * Minimum of 5+ years related experience in Field Customer Support of Test and Measurement instruments with typically 7-10+ years of experience * Applicant must have a solid understanding of Electronic and Electro-Mechanical principles, troubleshooting and repair techniques/skills. Average computer skills are desirable.
