Providing research and analysis for the D.C. office market, this role will work closely with our leasing and capital markets professionals in the D.C. office market and provide proprietary data tracking, analysis, reports and bespoke services to help support brokerage and sales activity.


Regularly participates in pitch kickoff meetings and collaborates with marketing/business development for proposal/RFP submissions. Also collaborates extensively with mapping/GIS and Liquid Galaxy team

Regularly provides market updates and market activity snapshots to producers during market meetings

Directly responsible for delivery of standard Field Research outputs such as MarketViews, market stacks and skylines, market overviews etc.

Oversees the collection and analysis of market information regarding the commercial real estate market.

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers.

May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.


Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or Associate degree and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2-8 years of experience in commercial real estate or other market research role

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office and Tableau.

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines.

Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.

Under the direction of the Manager of Research and Information Services and the Chief Marketing Officer, the senior research analyst will demonstrate and utilize their advanced knowledge of legal research, databases, and library reference methods to conduct various types of research and document retrieval globally for the firm. The senior research analyst will have the opportunity to demonstrate their expert knowledge of library and information science theory, information creation, organization, and delivery for an IP practice by:</p><ul> <li>Presenting clear, readily digestible results, client-ready deliverables on a variety of market research topics </li> <li>Analyzing complex research requests to provide actionable recommendations and key findings</li> <li>Collecting and analyze research data from surveys and other primary sources</li> <li>Compiling online sources from relevant databases to support recommendations and insights</li> </ul><p><br></p><p>In conjunction with the marketing and business development efforts at the firm and practice leaders, the senior research analyst will provide client development research support, including background research and competitive intelligence on current or potential clients and markets.
