Senior Field Applications Engineer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Technical first point of contact for customers

• Communicate technical information to customers and SiLC's internal teams through technical presentations, design reviews, etc.

• Provide timely answers and quick assessments during system design, testing and troubleshooting.

• Support customer data collection and integration of SiLC's solutions onsite.

• Author technical documentation and white papers, as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• BS / MS Degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optics or a related field.

• Familiarity with photonics components, fiber optics, free space optics, and standard test electronic equipment.

• Prior internship or university research experience on related field.

• Aptitude for performing hands-on experiments and measurements.

• Ability to adapt and operate under tight deadlines.

• Experience with Automotive design and qualification process is a plus.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and willing to learn new things.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

• Strong hands-on experience on free-space, fiber optics, and optical alignment to fiber/waveguide devices.
