Exa Corporation seeks Senior Field Application Engineers in Burlington, MA (and other U.S. Locations as needed).

As a Senior Field Application Engineer, you will report directly to a Regional Technical Director or an Application Engineering Manager and must be customer focused, very responsive, able to develop a strong level of trust with customers and know how to add value in a customer support situation. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

The ability to work on and manage multiple customer projects quickly and efficiently, using Exa's PowerFLOW software suite and internal resources, is very important. You will also coordinate with internal technical specialist teams and the sales team as needed, to develop, test and deploy new methodologies and best practices for effective customer usage of the latest PowerFLOW capabilities and execute any related Proof of Concept work. Your main responsibilities will be delivering customer services projects and providing pre-sales support to the sales team.

Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a small team of application engineers and interns in delivering results for customer projects. Other duties will include: pre-processing, administering and post-processing of customer benchmark cases, post-sales customer support and some customer account management in coordination with the sales team and higher level management.

Requires a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field, plus 1 year of experience. Must have knowledge of fundamental fluid mechanics shown through any amount of work experience.

Familiarity with CAD/CAE applications and geometry processing shown through any amount of work experience.

Familiarity with UNIX environment and scripting shown through any amount of work experience. Any amount of experience with direct customer interaction and working in a team.

Must be comfortable with direct customer interaction and working in a team which can be demonstrated through any amount of work experience. Professional presentation and customer facing skills which can be demonstrated through any amount of work experience. Experience with industry challenges and development processes which can be demonstrated through any amount of work experience. Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time when required.

The Senior Financial Analyst will take the lead on developing reports, dashboards, visual analyses and KPIs based on business requirements. Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Partner with the Director of Finance to implement a Business Intelligence tool within the organization by gathering detailed reporting and data requirements from business users throughout the organization including restaurant leaders, restaurant support center employees, business unit leaders and senior management. * Responsible for assuring the organization's data, reporting and analytics needs are met by producing top quality reports, dashboards, visual analyses and KPIs. * Employ a variety of analytical techniques to discover, identify, and conclude ad-hoc analysis both reactively to leadership requests and proactively as opportunities are identified * Monitor and report on financial, guest, operational and market data to spot trends in the business and discuss with key business partners. * Provide primary financial analysis support to key business partners. Manage monthly inter-departmental finance meetings with Marketing, Operations and Development including creating the agenda, identifying and documenting key takeaways and to-do's, and following up on completion. * Partner with the Director of Finance and appropriate business partners to develop first draft budgets/forecasting and report on actual vs. budgeted performance. * Report and analyze various capital investment expenditures including analyzing growth initiatives such as remodels, rebuilds and new stores to determine return-on-investment. Organization Structure This individual will report to the Director of Finance with no direct reports. Education Required Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, statistics, economics, or other related field required; MBA or Master's Degree in Statistics or Computer Science preferred. Experience Required 3-5 years in financial / business analysis / performance reporting experience Skills/Knowledge Required * High level of proficiency with Microsoft products, primarily developing complex spreadsheets in Excel * Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to leadership * Strong experience with reporting tools required. Experience with CrunchTime!
