Our team is looking for you, a Program Manager that brings great teamwork, positive attitude, high-energy leadership, and engineering execution to our customer-focus team chartered with enabling a world-class experience for Microsoft Azure cloud platform customers. This role is integral to overall operationalization of the customer onboarding experience and driving success with FT engagements.
3+ years of direct customer facing experience, conversant with senior IT professionals, backed by a strong understanding of their solution needs
2+ years delivering large projects/programs in a technology environment

Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, build and deliver customer business results through an engineering or professional services team.

Technical proficiency in one or more cloud technologies - MS Azure preferred.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Residency Requirement: As a condition of employment with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS), employees are required to live within the geographic boundaries of the City of Chicago within six months of his or her CPS hire date and maintain residency throughout their employment with the district. The Department of Early College and Career Education (ECCE) provides access to and supports for rigorous, relevant, college-level, hands-on career-focused courses; facilitates the design and implementation of high-quality STEM learning environments; and establishes secondary to employment pipelines that accelerate students toward post-secondary success by offering college-credit, professional credentials, and the soft skills required to be successful in college, career and in life. Position Summary: The CTE Outreach and Program Support Senior Manager will have the overall responsibility for directing and managing the outreach, recruitment, and school support strategies and initiatives within the Department of Early College and Career Education. He or she will supervise team members that oversee Citywide CTE Programs and Network and School Supports, while managing and monitoring ECCE key performance indicators as they relate to team outcomes. The CTE Outreach and Program Support Senior Manager will serve as the lead spokesperson for ECCE school support; working in conjunction with networks, schools, community, and CPS departments to ensure successful implementation and outcomes for CTE and Early College students and programs; encouraging a culture of college and career readiness and success. Principal Accountabilities 1. Manage ECCE Network and School Supports Personnel a. Supervise, monitor, and evaluate team members in alignment with key performance indicators. b. Interview, hire and onboard staff members as needed. c. Provide ongoing mentoring, training, and coaching of program staff to increase their capacity, skill sets, and performance outcomes. d. Convene monthly meetings to develop a professional learning community for staff; providing professional development, sharing of best practices, and dissemination of ECCE Departmental goals and policies. F. Develop and implement Work Plan outlining unit goals and objectives and aligning workstreams to district and ECCE departmental goals. 2. Drive collaboration between ECCE, networks, schools and other district teams a. Establish productive relationships to ensure common understanding of ECCE metrics; drive collaborative efforts with Early College Initiatives, CTE Curriculum, Instruction and Work-based learning, and ECCE Strategy and Performance to achieve shared goals. (i.e. Early College and Career Credentials, college and career readiness for students) b. Develop communication protocols and cross-team collaboration to positively impact ECCE goals and metrics, and program outcomes. c. Support various OCCS and ECCE teams and initiatives through data collection and dissemination, strategy development, and facilitation of team participation. 3. Develop centralized ECCE outreach and recruitment plan a. Coordinate district-wide outreach plan to promote ECCE programs and Initiatives b. Create, review, monitor and distribute central outreach and informational materials to support awareness of ECCE initiatives c. Identify and engage key stakeholders to support and advance departmental outreach and recruitment efforts d. Oversee and initiate parent outreach and engagement strategy e. Train and orient team members to outreach and recruitment plan; build capacity of members to achieve successful implementation. f. Engage FACE, OSCAPA, T&L, ONS, OAE, I&I and other CPS departments to promote ECCE programs and initiatives g. Serve as ECCE lead for admissions/recruitment h. Advise principals, Network Chiefs, and other district leaders around CTE admissions and enrollment processes. (GoCPS, citywide programs, pipeline initiatives) 4. Drive Elementary outreach and engagement a. Direct and develop departmental strategy for Elementary outreach and recruitment b. Train and orient team members to outreach and recruitment strategy c. Represent ECCE as a key spokesperson for elementary engagement d. Work in conjunction with ECCE Director and teams to develop initiatives and programs to expand CTE and Early College exploration and awareness at the elementary level e. Identify and engage CPS departments and community organizations to provide services and resources. 5. Performance Management and Support * Collaborate with ECCE Business Operations and EFE Program Supports to develop and administer district-wide budget to support outreach, recruitment, high school ECCE support, and elementary exposure and education activities. * Work in conjunction with CTE Curriculum, Instruction, and Work-based Learning, ECCE Strategy and Performance, Early College Initiatives, Equity Office, and Network Chiefs to look at equity and access of ECCE programming; develop strategies for expansion and greater accessibility. * Collaborate with ECCE Strategy and Performance to develop reporting tools to collect and disseminate data and measure program success. * Drive toward implementation of High Quality CTE programs developing project planning tools, processes, and structures to support high-quality and consistent implementation. * Push ongoing data review and data-based decision-making among programs to ensure outcomes aligned with departmental goals. * Mentor and coach team members to provide resources and support for teachers, students, and school administration. * Ensure ECCE goals and metrics are understood and known by all stakeholders * Support ECCE overlap with district-wide initiatives (eg. Learn, Plan, Succeed) * Assist in development and facilitation of network Industry Advisory Councils to support ECCE program success. * Participate in planning and execution of of district-wide special projects and initiatives as needed. 6. Additional duties as assigned. Experience and Education Required: * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. * 7 years of college and career related work experience. * 5 years of direct supervisory experience. * Experience in engaging industry, community, and educational partners. * Experience building model programs and initiatives * Experience working in school environments is ideal, but not required.
