Title Senior Faculty Fellow, Provost Initiatives (UA Internal Only) Department Office of Academic Affairs (9902) Medical Sub-Speciality Location Main Campus Position Summary
The Senior Faculty Fellow will provide leadership on planning, review, and development of special projects associated with preparation for the Higher Learning Commission self-study and site visit. The Senior Faculty Fellow will report to and work closely with the Senior Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and the Executive Director for Academic and Curricular Affairs to review current processes and practices that relate to assumed practices and core criteria of the HLC Assurance Argument (self-study). This is a part-time position that will begin early Spring 2018 and may continue through Spring 2020. The submission of the Assurance Argument will be due summer 2020 with the HLC site visit scheduled for December 2020.
This part-time appointment is intended to permit the faculty member to stay engaged in scholarship and teaching in his/her home department, with a modified workload to accommodate the work in the Provost Office. The successful candidate will receive the additional title of Senior Faculty Fellow for Provost Initiatives, stipend added to the base salary, and additional funds that can be used for operations, such as travel, conferences, dues, or subscriptions OR can be used to hire adjuncts or TAs. The funds will be transferred to the department.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Minimum Qualifications
Faculty position at UA (TTE or Career Track) with 3 years teaching experience.
Familiarity with course and academic program assessment best practices.
Ph.D. or ED.D. degree.
