As a Manufacturing Test Engineer, Hardware, you will own a broad set of feature areas and products. Working with our factory test engineers along with Manufacturing and Product Development teams you will be responsible for bringing a product from concept into mass production.
Develop factory test systems and capabilities for NPI and mass-production manufacturing operations
Configure, install and maintain a world class test platform for board level and product level testing for digital, optical, RF and acoustic systems.
Provide on-site support for a large collection of factory test and calibration systems for Magic Leap products.
Root-cause, debug and implement corrective actions for failure modes occurring during factory test operations.
Set-up, deploy, qualify and perform repeatability runs on new test systems and configurations.
Work with local and remote teams on failure analysis and roll out of fixes and improvements.
Drive test gauge R&R to achieve targeted manufacturing yield and cycle time goals.
A minimum of 10 years combined experience
Experience with digital, audio, camera and display testing is a plus
JTAG / Flash memory programming and testing is a plus
Knowledge of and proficiency in object-oriented or scripting languages, specifically, C, C#, .NET framework and Python
Understanding of product development and manufacturing procedures and qualification processes, experience in optical products is preferred.
Familiarity with the NPI product development cycle
Ability to troubleshoot systems and interpret statistical data
Experience working with embedded systems
Experience with robotic systems a major plus
Direct leadership experience of technical contributors
Excellent written, presentation and interpersonal skills are required
Familiarity with 6-Sigma methodology for manufacturing
Experience with 4G/5G telecom technology, preferably pertaining to factory test or devices or modules is a plus
Experience with high-volume world-class design and manufacturing techniques for consumer electronic products.
