Position Summary:

Crinetics Pharmaceuticals is currently seeking a Senior Facilities Operations Supervisor. The Sr. Facilities Operations Supervisor oversees facilities technical staff and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and support of buildings, grounds, furniture, equipment, and facilities systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, in biotechnology labs and offices. The Senior Facilities Supervisor tracks and completes facilities work orders, coordinates work to be completed by technicians, contractors, and skilled trades, and ensures work follows established service and quality standards. Schedules and supervises preventative maintenance and performs handyman projects. The Senior Facilities Supervisor makes day-to-day decisions and maintains a safe and effective working environment that complies with regulations and laws.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

These may include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise work of facilities technical staff including assigning and reviewing work, providing coaching and guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.

  • Collaborate closely with Facilities management and company personnel to execute the day-to-day operations of the Crinetics facilities.

  • Perform daily inspections of facilities to ensure reliable functionality.

  • Manage the organization's facility requirements, ensuring smooth communication with company personnel, visitors, guests, vendors, and contractors.

  • Manage lab equipment requirements including setup, breakdown, and facilitization of company assets.

  • Provide comprehensive facility support, troubleshoot operational issues, and engage in minor engineering tasks for project implementation.

  • Direct preventative maintenance programs, coordinating vendor schedules and procedures.

  • Conduct routine repairs, maintenance, and installations in both laboratory and office settings.

  • Uphold safety regulations and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) to ensure a safe and secure working environment.

  • Respond promptly to help desk requests, providing exceptional customer service and support.

  • Conduct regular facility inspections to monitor operations, safety, and conditions, addressing issues proactively.

  • Support relocations, events, and maintenance trades.

  • Maintain the Building Management System, overseeing lighting controls, security systems, and HVAC functionality for optimal performance. Creating and updating operational SOPs as needed.

  • Maintain inventory of facilities supplies, parts, and equipment.

  • Maintain accurate facilities records and prepares reports for management.

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • 5 years of facilities experience with additional3 years of prior experience in a supervisory position in a laboratory environment.

  • Knowledge of building and equipment operation and maintenance.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Must possess strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and exercise good judgement.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Building Engineering or related field.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Physical Activities: Tasks may require frequent bending, moving, and lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds. May require standing for a long period of time, working in all weather conditions, and exposure to environmental conditions requiring appropriate use of personal protective equipment. Laboratory Activities (if applicable): Biology and chemical laboratory environment experience needed. Environmental health and safety requirements also apply.

Travel:

You may be required to travel for up to 5% of your time.

The Anticipated Base Salary Range: $77,000-$102,000

In addition to your base pay, our total rewards program consists of a discretionary annual target bonus, stock options, ESPP, and 401k match. We also provide top-notch health insurance plans for employees (and their families) to include medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance, 20 days of PTO, 10 paid holidays, and a winter company shutdown.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education. Crinetics Pharmaceuticals is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
