Position Summarty: Implement strategic, tactical and operational systems to provide for the provisioning of space, infrastructure, and services associated with the facilities located in Livonia, Michigan. Provide and sustain budgetary control of purchasing card expenses for facilities operations. Coordinate Maintenance and shipping/receiving functions for Livonia research and develop operations.

What you can look forward to as a Senior Facilities Specialist:

• Ensure facility maintenance, testing, and inspection schedules are performed to meet all corporate and regulatory requirements.

• Position requires a 24/7 availability and routinely requires weekend and holiday attendance depending on project schedules.

• Understand, apply and enforce all Health, Safety, Environmental and Security requirements.

• Sustain programs to maintain, inspect, and test all fire safety equipment and systems.

• Monitor and implement systems to provide for security of personnel and the facility.

• Inspect buildings' structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations

• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs

• Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors

• Control activities such as parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.

• Allocate office space according to needs

• Keep financial and non-financial records

• Perform analysis and forecasting

• Cost estimates for moves and equipment

• Understand and execute outsourcing of services to meet strict corporate and departmental budgetary policies.

• Periodically re-tender contracts for services.

• Respond to space allocation issues for planning and implementation of changing office layouts.

• Provide project management of facilities projects, to include coordinating work, communicating project needs and scheduling to all affected parties.

• Implement budgetary goals for the annual costs of hardware, internal/external services, and supplies.

• Implement strategic plan for facilities growth and sustainment.

• Coordinate activities of maintenance technician and shipping/receiving clerk in daily operations.

• Effectiveness of this position is measured by the ability to control building operating costs, productivity of the building occupants, compliance with all regulatory requirements, meeting of project schedules, etc

• Fill in for Facility Manager during their absence.

Your Profile as a Senior Facilities Specialist:

• High school diploma or equivalent, Additional training in hazardous materials, safety, environmental and resource protection, etc; is helpful but not required.

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in facility management / facility engineering / building construction / building maintenance management or related fields.

• Competency to be a liaison for coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering activities involving equipment and building.

• Be able to develop relationships and work well with a variety of personnel within the Company and external engineers, contractors, vendors, regulators, etc.

• Have working knowledge of the budgeting process, cost estimating and all other financial issues that relate to the efficient operation of a facility

• Applicant must have a working knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards as promulgated by agencies of local government, MIOSHA, MIDEQ, MIDNR, ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, FM Global, etc.
