Responsibilities

  • Oversees all facility-related functions of the project.-Serves as liaison to project's Day Porter.-Works with the building landlord to ensure that the project's facility needs are met.-Works with Project Contracts Manager to ensure that all building and materials licensing and permits are in compliance with various state or local authorities. -Conducts daily facility review to ensure compliance with project safety and quality standards to ensure a productive and safe work environment including:-Coordinating with Human Resource Department to reduce risk of workplace related injuries.-Workplace general maintenance including evaluation and corrections.-Oversees security and logistics associated with the project offices, warehouse, and disaster recovery facility.-Identifies and implements cost savings and resource conservation initiatives.-Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.

The Ideal Candidate will Possess the Following Additional Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience; Advanced degree or professional designation preferred.

  • Develops solutions to a variety of complex problems.

  • Work requires considerable judgment and initiative.

  • Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.

Responsible for the monitoring, testing, preventative maintenance and repair of infrastructure equipment and associated electrical, alarming and monitoring systems per specifications and operational procedures in (geographical location). The Sr. Technician-Facilities will perform maintenance and repair of the physical facilities structures, security and peripheral systems. Provide emergency power and physical facilities remedies at all technical facilities. Will be a first responder to any facilities threat to the Verizon Business network and could be asked to be a first responder to any natural disasters that threaten or have impacted the Verizon Business network. Responsibilities also include: * Performing maintenance on Verizon building infrastructure. * Performing and/or managing vendor repairs on all HVAC, Generators, Switchgear, UPS, Fire Suppression, Lighting Security, DC Power plants an AC Power Electrical systems. * Ensuring our standards are implemented in everyday activities. * Ensuring we continue to meet all OSHA, State and Federal environmental standards, laws and best practices. * Creating new ways and maintaining existing processes for reducing carbon footprint across the network. * Maintaining equipment used to support our disaster relief efforts such as generators and HVAC systems both portable and stationary. * Maintaining building management systems. * Maintaining a safe working environment for yourself, our team and our network. What we're looking for... You'll need to have: * Bachelor's Degree or one or more years of work experience. * Valid Driver's Licens * Ability to climb ladders * Capable of lifting up to 50lbs * HVAC Certified Even better if you have: * A Degree or two or more years work experience in one or more: AC Power, DC Power, HVAC, UPS and Backup Generators * DOT Certification * Willing to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, etc) periodically. * Basic understanding of electricity. * Knowledge and experience with building automation/controls. * HVAC certification or experience. * Preferable chiller experience When you join Verizon...
