Senior ETL Developer

What you will do:

As our Senior ETL Developer, you will work to establish Data Engineering as a practice by having a deep understanding of ETL processes and technologies, as well as experience with a variety of data sources. This role will also act as a partner and working member of the Data Analytics team.

You will provide meaningful company-wide contributions that uphold the team's dedication to unparalleled excellence and commitment to success. This position can work out of our Detroit Lakes, MN or Plymouth, MN location.

The job:

Every day, your primary role will be to work with a team of problem solvers who have extensive consulting and industry experience. You will assist in solving complex business issues from strategy to execution.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex ETL pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into our data warehouse. You will also partner with Business Systems Analysts to create working dashboards within our ERP system.

The skills you need:

To succeed in this role, you must be self-directed, have experience with a variety of data sources including relational databases, flat files, and web APIs, as well as experience with Azure and data warehouse technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Spark. You will need to have exceptional communication skills and above average problem-solving and debugging skills.

The ideal candidate will also possess a solid understanding of software development life cycle models and expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices. A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in ETL development is required.
