Job Description:

The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost and scope of roofing projects, including residential, commercial, and government contracts. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the sales, project management, and operations teams of the roofing company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for roofing projects.

• Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information.

• Prepare and submit bids for residential, commercial, and government roofing contracts.

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.

• Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes to determine best value.

• Maintain and update a database of unit costs, productivity rates, and other relevant data.

• Provide support during the project execution phase, ensuring adherence to the estimated budget and timeline.

• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal team members.

• Stay current with industry trends, materials, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the roofing or construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of residential, commercial, and government roofing projects.

• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

• Proficient in estimating software and tools.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

• Certification in estimating or a related discipline.

• Experience with roofing-specific estimating software.
