In this role, you will develop accurate, detailed construction cost estimates. The Senior Estimator leads and trains Estimating personnel while following Preconstruction standards and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Leads and trains Estimating personnel

• Develops accurate, detailed construction cost estimates at progressive design stages

• Develops associated scope of work clarifications

• Identifies risk items and associated order of magnitude

• Assists with Preconstruction resource management

• Assists with the development and utilization of the Preconstruction processes, standards and tools

• Assists the Pricing Lead and participates in estimate review meetings

• Contributes to cost savings exercises

• Assists with the development of bid packages

• Assists with the project construction budget

• Assists with Preconstruction-Operations Turnover Meetings

• Assists with Subcontractor and Vendor relationships

• Assists with project procurement and buyout

• Collaborates with Preconstruction Leadership

• Collaborates with designers and clients

• Collaborates and assists the project operations team

• Follows project construction costs and market trends

• Participates in Preconstruction software development, maintenance and historical costs

• Travel as required, 10% - 20%

• Other duties which may be assigned as needed

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent and 5 years of estimating experience preferred or 15 years relevant experience in the construction industry

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:

• Architectural Estimating experience

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Design-Build and CMAR project delivery method experience

• Proven computer skills, including the utilization of estimating software systems

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
