What is the position? Evercore ISI seeks to hire a Senior Research Associate for its Payment, Processors & IT Services equity research team located in New York, NY.

Primary Responsibilities:Ideal candidate will be proactive, high energy and able to work effectively within a highly productive team. Candidate should possess excellent excel skills, knowledge of finance and accounting and superior writing skills. A strong work ethic with the ability to learn quickly is essential. Candidates with a superior background in finance & accounting are encouraged to apply. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Develop and update financial models efficiently
Perform financial and valuation analysis of covered companies
Execute proprietary research projects that generate impactful stock calls
Assist with client requests & inquiries
Idea generation
Maintain databases and create tables and charts
Participate in company management calls and conferences
Track relevant news articles relaying important messages to team
Closely follow industry and economic data

Specific Qualifications:

2-4 years of Equity research experience
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); the job entails significant writing responsibilities
Background in finance and accounting
Strong modeling / excel capabilities
Superior writing skills
Interest in stocks
Initiative, drive and motivation to learn
Ability to work as part of a team to accomplish broader goals and objectives
Capable of handling multiple responsibilities
Ability to meet deadlines

Generate ideas and write sell-side equity research on the Restaurant/Leisure industry, including concise reports reacting to company news flow as well as in-depth reports incorporating research findings and financial analysis. Create and maintain multinational restaurant and leisure models, including historical and projected results, multiple brands, geographies and currencies. Produce sensitivity analysis of macro-variables, including the impact of changes in FX, energy prices, tariffs, tax reform and stock market fluctuations on companies' financials. Conduct analyses of companies' revenue drivers, including key metrics, such as same store sales, comps growth, sales per unit, new store productivity, currency and differentiates between inorganic and organic (excluding the impact of FX and acquisitions) growth.
