Overview

The Senior EHS Specialist works with and supports the EHS Manager to identify, develop, implement and manage health, safety, and environmental programs and initiatives for our North American business.

  • Work with and support the EHS Manager and operations management to implement environmental, health, and safety programs, policies, procedures and best practice techniques, implement new policies/procedures to comply with regulatory requirements, and provide control measures that reduce or eliminate risks to the Company.

  • Conduct EHS assessments at stores, identify and communicate areas for improvement, and track assessment findings to closure.

  • Work with managers to investigate injuries/illnesses, near-misses and environmental incidents, determine root cause of incidences, develop corrective action plans and track to closure.

  • Manage and track injury, illness, and environmental metrics and provide reports to appropriate managers.

  • Analyze accident and injury causes, types, and numbers and work with managers to implement corrective action based on findings.

  • Assist in the management of Titan's workers compensation program.

  • Provide guidance and information to leaders and managers regarding safety and environmental training requirements and compliance as they relate to employee health and safety and implement safety training programs as needed.

  • Prepare, maintain, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local agency environmental reporting and permitting.

  • Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory standards and initiatives, update programs as needed and provide communications to ensure that appropriate personnel are aware of new, current, or upcoming standards/requirements.

  • Work with managers to ensure locations maintain ongoing compliance with OSHA/MSHA/EPA requirements and safety and environmental standards.

  • Serve as a company representative to all local, state, and federal safety and environment related agencies, insurance companies, and any other related organization when needed.

  • Assist employees with EHS related questions and issues, coach and mentor managers on EHS related items and provide guidance to location employees during site assessments.

  • Assist with all accident/incident/insurance claim reporting and follow-up.

  • Prepare and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, queries, and conduct appropriate audits to ensure data integrity.

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 6 + years of environmental, health, and safety experience

  • Excellent knowledge of State and Federal regulations including OSHA, MSHA, and EPA.

  • Ability to handle and resolve interpersonal conflict

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, stressful work environment

  • Ability to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time and work flexible hours

  • Strong computer skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Preferred:

  • 3 + years of experience in the Agriculture or Construction Equipment business or a related industry

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field

  • CSP Credentials
