Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for leading the development of functional and non-functional business requirements.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 4 years of data and analytics experience OR Technical Certification and/or college courses and 6 years of data and analytics experience OR 8 years of data and analytics experience

  • Experience in requirements management and/or prototyping

  • Knowledge of system architecture

  • Knowledge of big data and analytical technologies

  • Knowledge of data processing environments

  • Knowledge of Agile project management

  • Ability to simplify & standardize complex concepts and/or processes

  • Business acumen

  • SDLC (systems development life cycle) / Iterative / Agile / Scrum development

  • Oral & written communication skills

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Information Technology

CME Group is looking for a Sr Marketing Data Analyst with 5-7 years of expertise analyzing a rich set of analytics and mining data for commercialization of opportunities – from website behavior to mobile app usage to user journeys across all digital touchpoints. Must be VERY strong with Google Analytics (would consider Adobe Analytics background as well) This role is responsible for: * Leads analyses to determine the effects of all CME Group digital marketing and digital experiences, both online and offline. * Managing the analysis of current marketing performance to assess what is working and what isn't, and recommending s actions and solutions to maximize investment ROI of annual marketing budget. Using a profit and loss mindset to drive analytical approaches. * Help address critical business questions, conducts analyses, and translate the data into meaningful information that drives results. * Analyzing marketing and sales funnels on a per campaign and per channel basis. * Developing richer personas and customer intents per segment. * Work with marketing and leadership in a consultative capacity, advising and influencing the distribution and outcomes of the annual campaign budget. * Collaborate, help lead, define, execute and communicate digital analytics strategy, plan and current performance to the organization including executive leadership to ensure continuity and alignment to goals and priorities. * Work across and integrate data from multiple digital analytics platforms. * Help implement large analytic platforms and projects. * Provide subject matter expertise support for digital analytics/web initiatives. * Assist in defining the strategy, development and implementation of Aa/Bb and multivariate testing programs to optimize company-wide digital marketing KPIs. * Assist in measurement and optimization of digital marketing tactics such as paid social, PPC and display * Assist in merging of business intelligence data and reporting to provide respective teams with information that contributes to decision-making. * Work closely with sales and marketing teams to identify opportunities for new client acquisition. * Recommend website and campaign optimizations. * Work with UX Research to conduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking data. Qualifications & Skills: * Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, business or related discipline preferred; advanced degree in related discipline a bonus. * 5-7+ years of digital analytics experience with responsibility for reporting and analyzing data for multiple channels required; digital marketing experience in financial services environment strongly preferred. * 3+ years experience with enterprise level CRM and Marketing Automation tools – Salesforce and Pardot/Marketo. * High attention to detail and quality assurance of analytic methods and outputs. * Analytical approach to problem-solving and aptitude for conveying the why and "so what" using data and analytic insights. * Experience managing large analytic platform implementations, including the ability to facilitate the establishment of clear project goals, objectives, plans and key performance indicators (KPI); demonstrated ability to successfully lead large analytic projects and implementations. * Ability to design/develop performance measurement reports and dashboards and adapt data capture and reporting processes. * Demonstrated ability to build credibility and rapport across cross-functional teams. * Knowledge of query tools and best practices, including deep proficiency with Google Analytics or similar enterprise analytics platform. * Familiarity with attribution modeling and software.
