Senior Engineering Technician

Our engineering team is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician with at least 5 years of experience to perform project inspection tasks associated with street and utility construction. The Senior Engineering Technician works closely with the Assistant Director of Public Works/Engineering as part of our engineering team. Senior Engineering Technicians oversee complex municipal construction projects, public utilities, site inspections, permitting, and more.

Employees in this class will exercise leadership within their immediate work group. Within its prescribed limits, work is performed on large, complicated projects with considerable independence without close supervision. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload. This position performs related work as required. Familiarity with the construction aspects of water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, concrete, and asphalt paving is desired.
