Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Project Manager in Wireless Construction, you will manage a variety of internal and external partners and vendors to oversee construction and maintenance for a regional network of cell site projects. Your vital role will ensure that these multi-stakeholder, complex projects are delivered on time, to specifications, and within budget.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal resources to ensure that construction projects are started on time with the appropriate resources.

  • Maintain detailed schedules for each project and actively managing the scheduled tasks with outside vendors including major milestones, action items, long lead purchases, and any other commitments that would impact the project schedule.

  • Provide regular project status reports to executive management and the project team.

  • Work cross-functionally to collaborate with other teams in the region including Real Estate, RF Design, Construction, Implementation, Network Assurance, and System Performance.

  • Prepare and manage purchase orders to ensure alignment with project implementation timelines. Ensure prompt vendor payment.

  • Deliver on monthly spend targets that help support our capital commitments and maintain program cadence/run rates.

  • Utilize project tracking tools and systems to accurately document equipment orders, schedules and installation completions.

Skills - Experience and Requirements

The successful Project Manager will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of experience in telecommunications / data networking or wireless industry

  • Experience managing projects and process/program management experience.

  • Experience with budget tracking, cost estimation, and cost accounting of capital plans.

  • General construction knowledge

  • Excellent communication and team building skills enable you to negotiate with internal and external partners to ensure nothing gets in the way of success.

The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineering Associate Manager will support building a strong new team to plan and successfully execute a new portfolio HSP. The manager will provide Quality Assurance at the tactical level and interfaces with other functional group leaders to provide resources ensure the implementation and effective execution of the program plans and quality organization objectives. The manager will be deployed to the HSP Quality Engineering Senior Manager and work closely with both the QA team and the integrated program team to develop, apply, and maintain quality systems ensuring Lockheed Martin delivers the capabilities that the Navy customer has defined in their Statement of Work and System Requirements, for near-term operational deployment. You will have responsibility for alignment of process and product quality on this critical program. This position requires a strong understanding of all aspects of Quality and Product Assurance, multiple Engineering disciplines, and the ability to adapt to developing program needs. The selected candidate will be a driving force to guide technical decisions that achieve high quality performance. Your work will influence the System Architecture, Integrated Master Plan, Requirements and Verification Baseline, development and flight test hardware baseline, ground and flight test planning, and design maturity milestone reviews. As a Lockheed Martin Full Spectrum Leader, you will also drive design evolution in a systematic and thoughtful way with the mindset of Quality and Product Assurance as an independent and objective judge of product performance, being the authority to ensure requirements are met. This position works closely with their Navy counterpart to develop, test, and field a strategic system. In this role, you will have functional responsibility for your team, including staffing, performance reviews, and talent development. You will support the Corrective Action Board (CAB) and interface with DCMA in support of this program. You will be expected to fulfill delegation responsibilities for the Senior Manager, the QA team, and to lead cross-functional improvement projects to drive program cost down and overall value up. As a member of this strategic team working on groundbreaking technologies, you will be exposed to multiple opportunities for personal and career growth, supported by our team of Quality and Engineering professionals across the Strategic and Missile Defense Line of Business and across Lockheed Martin Space. This position is based in Englewood, Colorado, and may require up to 20% travel. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering field) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.) Minimum 8 years of QA experience or related technical discipline. Demonstrated ability to interact with DoD, DCMA, and/or other government customers and subcontractors to build effective relationships. Demonstrated strong expertise in root cause analyses methodologies and in developing preventive quality corrective action plans.
