Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Project Manager in Wireless Construction, you will manage a variety of internal and external partners and vendors to oversee construction and maintenance for a regional network of cell site projects. Your vital role will ensure that these multi-stakeholder, complex projects are delivered on time, to specifications, and within budget.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal resources to ensure that construction projects are started on time with the appropriate resources.

  • Maintain detailed schedules for each project and actively managing the scheduled tasks with outside vendors including major milestones, action items, long lead purchases, and any other commitments that would impact the project schedule.

  • Provide regular project status reports to executive management and the project team.

  • Work cross-functionally to collaborate with other teams in the region including Real Estate, RF Design, Construction, Implementation, Network Assurance, and System Performance.

  • Prepare and manage purchase orders to ensure alignment with project implementation timelines. Ensure prompt vendor payment.

  • Deliver on monthly spend targets that help support our capital commitments and maintain program cadence/run rates.

  • Utilize project tracking tools and systems to accurately document equipment orders, schedules and installation completions.

Skills - Experience and Requirements

The successful Project Manager will have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of experience in telecommunications / data networking or wireless industry

  • Experience managing projects and process/program management experience.

  • Experience with budget tracking, cost estimation, and cost accounting of capital plans.

  • General construction knowledge

  • Excellent communication and team building skills enable you to negotiate with internal and external partners to ensure nothing gets in the way of success.

(Relationship Management – Product Optimization * Expert and resource for the Bankers on identifying acceptable deals before engaging credit based on the defined target market and risk tolerance objective * Actively engaged in the decision making for 6 – and worse credits and may be engaged with difficult conversations with the clients * Assist banker with action plans for clients that are out of compliance of covenants, showing operating losses or having floorplan audit performance issues * Provide Bankers with value add analytics to promote stronger client relationships * College degree, with an advanced degree desirable. * Successful completion of a formal bank sponsored credit training program or formal training or experience in an underwriting role. * At least 5 years of middle market banking, credit underwriting experience or equivalent experience. Additionally, previous treasury and client service experience is strongly preferred. * Strong client-facing skills. Polished, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities. * Strong investigatory, due diligence and risk analysis skills. * Able to present risk issues in a succinct and cogent manner to senior leaders. * Familiarity with loan and other contractual documentation highly desirable. * Familiarity with complex client organization structures highly desirable. * Diligent, detail-oriented and thorough. * Persistent and willing to follow through to resolve and document issues appropriately and in a manner in keeping with sound risk management practices. * Able to work independently multi-task and handle a sizeable account load.
