Job Description Summary Plan & drive execution of one or more InfoSight program initiatives across the spectrum of infrastructure projects, wellness / Case Automation platform overhaul, Predictive Analytics & Machine Learning projects, through to Lasik and other major projects at portal end. In parallel, own / drive required coordination & collaboration for 1-3 Nimble &/or 3-PAR integration programs of strategic importance to deliver on synchronous plans between InfoSight & HPE products (Storage / Servers) releases at agreed upon SLA's with Storage and Server Product Divisions

Senior Program Manager

We're looking for an expirienced Senior Program Manager to join our HPE Infosight Engineering team. This is a perfect position for a candidate who has demonstrated the ability to plan & execute to aggressive business goals through successful coordination & collaboration across functional distributed teams. The individual will be expected to do what it takes to deliver on (budget, schedule, and scope) commitments. It's a perfect position for an individual who exercises solid judgment in diving deep if &/when necessary, as well providing the big picture guidance to keep large number of program team members and stakeholders in alignment.

As a Program Manager you will plan, lead, and manage cross functional programs- either new product, sustaining or infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for leading cross functional and cross-organizational teams, focused on driving program execution from definition through successful release to the SaaS production environment, and executing in consort with product organizations whose delivery schedules depend on our timely delivery. You will have the opportunity to influence and coordinate partner organization processes & tools to accurately monitor, track, and provide comprehensive program progress reports, as well have the ability to mitigate risks in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, lead, and manage cross division and cross-functional programs with complex inter-dependencies with other products in HPE products portfolio, as well as HPE's Support organization

  • Deliver product improvements on frequent and regular cadence using Agile practices, while also staying coordinated with more complex Server and Storage products which are on water-fall lifecycle model with fewer feature releases

  • Identify and communicate inbound and outbound project dependencies with other products to ensure program milestones and objectives are met.

  • Risk assessment- Analyze problems and drive solutions involving multiple elements of program planning.

  • Keep management informed of key issues and changes which may impact expected business results, recommend alternative options to mitigate business impact

  • Keep clear communication and partnership with your peers on the team working in other time zones to essentially provide 24x7 progress on getting closure on project blockers & issues

  • Define, operationalize, and continuously improve InfoSIght cross functional processes, tools and practices to perform / update resource tiling in response to changes in business priorities, and roadmap planning. Arm engineering VP to be prepared for MBR/QBR reviews through timely coordination & guidance to InfoSight managers to update review material

  • Work with product & partner organizations to define & execute on cross-division strategy for meeting data pipeline SLA's, ensuring continuous monitoring for data availability and quality through data pipeline, data science driven ETL transformations, all the way through to portal UI publishing

  • For major releases of InfoSight with complex cross-division dependencies, work with cross functional teams to have a solid plan for pre-GA testing, including beta testing by impacted external and internal customers, as well as ensuring targeted communication & training for each target customer. Ensure outbound marketing has required input to build out customer facing collateral

  • Reviews and evaluates program plans and guidelines for compliance with program management guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve overall program management quality and results for the organization.

  • Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members to set an example of program management innovation and excellence.

Required Knowledge / Skills

  • Impeccable leadership skills with experienced building, leading and instilling teams with a constant focus on accountability, delivery, and the customer experience.

  • Soft skill focused with great attention to details, experienced negotiator, who is a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong internal drive, a tenacious spirit, a collaborative method of working and proven experience delivering complex technology programs on time.

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating and directing cross-organization teams to timely deliver on inbound and outbound dependencies with required phasing across data pipeline, data analytics, and portal web UI to ensure solid end-to-end testing and product quality at committed SLA's

  • Proficiency with Atlassian JIRA/Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite including Sharepoint

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business management, Engineering, or equivalent

  • 10+ years' experience managing complex projects / programs, either as line manager or program manager, preferably in high tech company with similar (server/ storage) products

  • Preferably experience and domain expertise required to manage SAAS products / services using agile lifecycle model for frequent releases

  • PMP/PMI certification preferred
