CMT is looking for a collaborative, customer-committed, and creative Senior Engineering Manager who wants to join us in helping the Public Sector make roads safer and drivers better! You will help us build innovative products on top of CMT's massive body of aggregated, anonymized risky driving data that enable traffic safety officials, transportation planners, research institutions, and engineers to improve road safety and reduce crashes. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead the development effort of our Public Sector product, manage an engineering team, and inspire a collaborative and outcome-oriented culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with your product management partner to deliver, innovate, and grow a portfolio of capabilities that deliver value to the Public Sector

  • Lead the development, release, and maintenance of CMT's Public Sector product

  • Manage and mentor an engineering team by providing strategic and tactical direction on product development and guidance on career development

  • Manage team output, velocity to help forecast and plan upcoming work against capacity

  • Implement and refine the processes and structure to achieve measurable operational excellence and output

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of product managers, data scientists, designers, and sales to help articulate, build, and ship your product to our customers

  • Inspire a culture that is fun to work in

  • Be the voice and heart of your team

  • Complete any additional tasks as they arise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and/or certification in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering

  • 8+ years of relevant working experience in engineering

  • 3-5+ years of management responsibility

  • Excellent coding skills history in at least one programming language

  • Experience with building, running, and operating a highly scalable SaaS platform

  • Leadership skills necessary to manage and develop a team

  • Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track

  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a timeline-driven environment

  • Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience

  • Team player and experienced at managing and running SCRUM teams
