Job Description

We are looking for a motivated electrical engineer as a key contributor to delivery of our next generation wireless communication chips. You will be working with a cross-functional global team in a collaborative environment that we take pride in.   • Design of analog or RFIC circuit blocks

  • Layout supervision and verification

  • Testing and debugging of the designs

Job Requirements

  • MS or Ph.D. in RF/Analog CMOS IC Design

  • Experience in IC test and debug

  • Deep understanding of RF/Analog IC design and Tape-out experience

  • Deep understanding of CMOS transistor and inductor physics and modeling

  • Understanding of IC layout and packaging effects on circuit performance, cross talk and supply noise couplings

  • Familiar with Cadence Virtuoso analog/RF simulator or similar tools

This designer will be involved in delivering next-generation PHY designs for SoCs and will be part of a growing team involved in architecture analysis in leading-edge CMOS process technology nodes at 7nm and beyond. Design goals also include low-power analog designs to address Qualcomm's wireline interface need. The primary responsibility of this position entails working within a team to deliver analog and mixed-signal transistor level circuit designs along with supervising physical layouts of the high speed, low-power PHY SerDes blocks.
