As a Senior Hardware Prototyping / Emulation Engineer you will be part of a team of engineers dedicated to the hardware acceleration of our technology, including defining, creating, and debugging prototyping / emulation models. We rely on these models to validate our architecture, accelerate our simulation environment, and provide a stable platform for software development. They are key to our success.

Responsibilities

• Work hands-on with RTL design, design verification, and software engineers to develop emulation models and workflows and debug block, chip, and system level issues on industry standard platforms.

• Develop high performance transactors and emulation models in SystemVerilog and C/C++

• Develop and optimize build and runtime flows to enable quick turnaround of functional and performance issues

• Drive improvements by harnessing the capabilities of the emulator technology and by identifying/fixing bottlenecks in the test bench collateral

• Proactively monitor and resolve issues ensuring efficient utilization of the platform through automation and other innovations

• Partner with external vendors to debug and quickly resolve blocking issues, pioneer and deploy new capabilities

Basic Qualifications

• MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 2-5 years of relevant industry experience
• BS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering plus 5+ years of relevant industry experience

Additional Required Qualifications

• Industry standard emulation technologies such as Palladium, Zebu, or Veloce

• Strong coding skills in SystemVerilog and scripting/automation languages

• Knowledge of emulation compilation flows, debug capabilities and performance tuning

• Working knowledge of Linux / Unix environment

• Familiarity with bug tracking and code revision control tools

• Strong teamwork, organization, and communication skills

Annual Salary Range and Level

The base salary for this position ranges from $150,000/year up to $180,000/year. This range is based on role, level, and location and reflects the salary target for new hires in the US. Individual pay within the range will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's job-related qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
