Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to:
Analyze failure root cause of RMA returns
Investigate cause of new product failures
Determine cause of yield excursions
Work with Design, Application, process, product and package engineering to identify the failure root cause and support corrective action plan
Write technical reports with failure analysis findings and distribute it to the team
Meet ADI's failure analysis cycle time and quality commitments
Develop new techniques for analyzing failures
Take ownership for a piece of failure analysis equipment; and keep it operational
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Physics, or Science degree with semiconductor emphasis. Master's degree Preferred
4+ year of experience in Failure Analysis, Product, Design, Application, Fab Process or Test Engineering.
Strong technical understanding of how diode and transistor work
Strong technical understanding of Analog and mixed signal circuit analysis
Ability to read schematics and layout
Good English oral and written communication skills
Ability to use electrical bench equipments: Oscilloscopes, power supplies, Source meter, Function generator, curve tracer etc.
Good troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of Failure Analysis tools and Techniques (SEM, X-Ray, Emission, OBIRCH, Thermal) is a plus.
Fab and/or assembly process experience is a plus
Chemistry lab experience is a plus

The wage range for a new hire into this position is $100,280 to $137,885.
Actual wage offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, training, external market data, internal equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
