Your duties will require engineering/scientific support on systems, system elements, interfaces, components, devices and/or processes for complex developmental and operational weapon system programs. You will apply technical and theoretical knowledge of missile and launcher testing and operation, as well as Warfighter tactics, techniques, and procedures.

What knowledge and skills will help you be a successful analyst?

  • Provide systems engineering and missile / canister development expertise to new weapon system development

  • Support development and control of U.S. Army requirements in missile design

  • Review and evaluate system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test plans/procedures, and technical data packages

  • Interface with other government organizations and development contractors to facilitate development of and adherence to U.S. Army-specific materiel release requirements

  • Facilitate information flow between remotely-located U.S. Army and U.S. Navy personnel on technical and programmatic reviews, major milestone status, earned value management and risk

  • Develop and present briefings, analysis, and reports to government customers

Required Skills:

  • Engineering experience in the technical development and testing of missiles

  • Project management experience leading cost, schedule and performance

  • Experience working with U.S. Navy acquisition programs

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Active SECRET clearance

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in a missile development / test role for a major weapon system acquisition program

  • Missile propulsion / booster and canister development experience

Do I need any other qualifications?

  • 20 years experience in development of weapon systems

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in missile system development

  • Master of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline (i.e. engineering, mathematics, physics)

  • Clearance: Applicants selected must be able to maintain clearance level required to access classified information. TS/SCI clearance Preferred
