Senior Employment Tax Advisor
Global Employment Tax group consists of tenured tax professionals who are responsible for efficient tax planning, advise on tax treatment and support implementation of solutions for C&B components as well as effective risk management and drive corrective solutions for employment tax matters.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced world-class tax professional to support US federal and state employment tax matters.
This role will report to the Director of Global Employment Tax and will need to interact with key stakeholders in HR, Legal, Tax, Finance, Business Units as well as senior management.
In this role, you will support the design and implementation of various employee compensation, including tax issues associated with payroll and benefits, share-based compensation, global mobility programs and related systems, and operations process support. In addition, you will manage US employment tax audits.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Manage Intel's employment tax relationship with US tax authorities, including management of payroll/withholding tax audits.
Provide technical advice, manage employment tax audits and risks, and engage external counsel, auditors, tax service providers, and advisors as needed.
Identify US tax legislative and regulatory changes related to compensation and benefits including stock and incentive payments, analyze the potential impact on business, communicate to relevant stakeholders, and advise on implementation strategies.
Provide tax advice and technical support to key stakeholders on compensation and benefits matters including but not limited to equity compensation, fringe benefits such as education, moving/relocation, employer provided aircraft, and security as well as potential Section 162(m) that deals with 1120 and M adjustments and Section 409A issues.
Analyze the impact of internal business changes on US employment tax compliance and planning, communicate to relevant stakeholders, and advise on implementation strategies.
Advise business partners on employment tax implications with respect to design and implementation of innovative employee benefits and compensation offerings.
Provide internal advice on mobility tax matters.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical or financial information to a non-technical audience.
Ability to independently manage a diverse and complex workload with competing deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Mature judgment, innovative thinking as well as the ability to advise and influence senior executives and professionals from diverse businesses while providing practical solutions.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
12+ years of experience in the following areas:
Employment Tax experience in Big 4 accounting firms, major law firms and/or in-house counsel.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Government service an added plus.
Accreditation required: One of the following:
Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office.
J.D. and active membership in state bar where you practice.
