Senior Employee Operations Manager

Lever San Francisco , CA 94102

Posted 2 weeks ago

Here at Lever, we believe that employee success is critical to customer and business success. We are incredibly proud of the workplace we've built- in the past year alone, we've been recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as the #1 Best Place to Work in the Bay Area, and Fortune and Great Places to Work named us a best place to work. As Lever enters an unprecedented phase of growth, we need an employee ops expert to help us take our foundational people processes, tools, and systems to the next level so that the Lever team can do their best work at scale. And that's where you come in!

As our primary owner for everything related to employee operations across all of Lever, you will ensure all our processes, policies, and benefits and perks are impactful, scalable, compliant, and aligned with our values. You will own our HR systems and data, making sure they are truly streamlining processes and providing the information needed to make key decisions both for the Employee Experience team and the rest of the company. You will revise what we already have in place and build from scratch what we are missing, with a diligent eye toward efficiency and effectiveness. You will drive everything from mapping out initial strategies and priorities, to "interviewing" relevant stakeholders and proposing solutions that incorporate their input, to managing rollout, iterations, day-to-day operations, and communication. In close collaboration with the rest of Lever's Employee Experience team, you will set the industry standard for employee practices that truly support the employee and bring the rest of the company enthusiastically along on that vision.

Since this role is all about raising the bar, we are looking for someone who has a mix of HR expertise (tools, best practices, familiarity with United States and Canadian employment law), operational chops (stellar organization and project management skills), a strategic lens (connecting day-to-day work with bigger-picture organizational objectives), and the ability to influence (inspiring the company on why a process change will help up-level us as a company). If wearing all these hats on a daily basis is not only feasible but also truly exciting to you, we'd love to hear from you!

The Senior Employee Operations Manager will be a key member of the Employee Experience team. We are a fun, collaborative bunch who takes our mission seriously: as the Lever team's strategic internal partners, we ensure all Leveroos have the space, skills, support, and physical and psychological safety that enable them to do their best work and own their own growth. We are the team that helps employees not only go faster and farther, but also do it in the right way. In partnership with leaders across Lever, we are proving to the world that a company like Lever that truly values people can win in business in fact, that's exactly why we will win! If playing a key, active role in this journey sounds exciting to you, let's chat. Learn more about how we think about HR at Lever from our Director of Employee Experience, Annie Lin. and read a bit about how we're building a great place to work for all people.
