Qrypt is looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our agile development team located in NYC and in Germantown, Maryland. We are building the next generation of cryptography focused on protecting our user's data from all enemies, foreign and domestic. We build, design, and deploy bulletproof systems and are looking for engineers who are ready for that challenge.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer you will design and implement key portions of a cryptographic platform with new and advanced algorithms. You will lead complex projects and promote a collaborative working environment in order to drive architectural and infrastructural improvements. Providing the last mile between our hardware and the world-class services that will make them available to our customers. You will design, develop, document and test software systems, specifically embedded systems, for use with our hardware.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
Due to the nature of our product, employees must have the ability to obtain a security clearance in the future.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with increased responsibility.
5+ years of experience programming in C++/C.
Experience developing embedded software, device drivers and applications.
Experience with Linux Driver Development or firmware development and Python.
You care about quality regardless of the toolbox you are using. We are looking for people who build solid maintainable systems.
Proven ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision. You understand that making mistakes means you're learning, and you actively seek opportunities to grow and develop.
Strong engineering background with preferred fields in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Software Engineering.
You want to work on a product that will impact the world and you're curious about post-quantum cryptography.
Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. You enjoy collaboration with otherswe don't get work done in an assembly line; success is achieved because everyone pitches in.
Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives.
Experience working in agile environments.
Experience deploying and running a live service with Hardware in the loop.
Experience with network application programming for distributed systems.
