Accountabilities &

  • Adheres to Integer's Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Performs electro-mechanical maintenance, service and repairs to production equipment.

  • Ensures manufacturing engineering and production floor support.

  • Write and modifies machine programming for manufacturing and processing equipment and tests equipment.

  • Creates and modifies electrical systems.

  • Performs preventative and unscheduled maintenance duties on equipment.

  • Customer role to service contractors and vendors.

  • Assist manufacturing engineers in the qualification, debugging and repair of equipment.

  • Ensures appropriate documentation of design, functionality, and operation of electronics systems.

  • Sets up and runs experiments and/or test apparatus.

  • Designs, recommends, assembles and installs equipment/apparatus and processes for product fabrication, research and development or analysis and testing.

  • Writes instructions and trains personnel in proper techniques to utilize systems, equipment, and processes.

  • Performs complex troubleshooting; repairs, modifies and maintains systems and/or equipment.

  • Analyzes data, evaluates systems and processes and makes decisions regarding modifications, if necessary.

  • Writes technical reports and other required documentation.

  • Interacts with and advises other departments.

  • Assigns or coordinates tasks of other technicians within group.

  • Performs other duties as required.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities * Provide technical support to the project team to develop medical device manufacturing processes * Develop processes and build critical prototypes and pre-production units to meet customer requirements and timelines with minimal oversight and direction from project team * Develop complex process using strong technical background and experience * Responsible for R&D level process documentation (document processes, materials, and inspection results) * Transfer and release R&D level documentation to a released state in quality documentation system * Drive process selection and development based on customer provided requirements * Inspect finished units and record data using Good Documentation Practices (GDP) * Apply exception technical skills in a cleanroom environment * Train and support technicians and operators working on complex Development projects * Participate in customer discussions and reviews * Provide technical insight and direction to project teams regarding design and material selection Education and Experience * High School Diploma or GED * 5+ years of experience in medical device technician role (2-3 years of medical device operator experience a plus) Skills and Abilities * Must have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal * Must be a self-motivated and ambitious individual that also has the skill set to work effectively on a team * Must be a team leader and have a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to a dynamic and quickly changing work environment * Must have exceptional problem-solving skills * Must have exceptional hands on technical skills and experience directly related to catheter manufacturing (liner stretching, braiding, braid cut back, polymer reflow, etc.) * Advance understanding of various catheter assembly techniques and processes * Highly motivated to learn new technology and processes along with teaching others * Focus on quality * Knowledge of both braided shafts and balloon catheters a plus Working Conditions and Physical Demands To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
