Position: Senior Electrical Technician

Wage: $35.28

Shift: 1st 6:45 am to 3pm

While reporting to the Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, calibration, repair and/or replacement of electronic instrumentation and controls as well as electrical wiring, electrical and mechanical devices and other equipment normally found in an industrial plant environment.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Reads complex electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, electrical wiring diagrams and shop drawings for the purpose of installation, troubleshooting and repairing of major systems and minor subsystems and components.

• Perform PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) control level diagnosis by monitoring PLC programs and install, calibrate, troubleshoot, maintain and repair major electronic, electrical and mechanical systems and peripheral devices per manufacturer's specification.

• Troubleshoots and installs safety and motor starter control circuits.

• Troubleshoots, installs, and calibrates various instruments, including ultrasonic level transmitters, flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, differential pressure transmitters.

• Utilizes a wide range of test equipment, including analog and digital multi-meters, and other test equipment, while performing tests to identify problems and to maintain and calibrate equipment to performance standards.

• Troubleshoot, replace and program VFDs as needed.

• Connects, disconnects, and tags out equipment and circuits for test or repair and safety of personnel and equipment.

• Performs mechanical repairs to any plant system as required.

• Maintains shop and storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion.

• Cleans work area after work is complete.

• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

• Performs other duties as assigned in support of the organization.

• May be assigned to work on special products.

• It may be necessary for the employee to be called in to work in certain circumstances.

• Preform HMI diagnosis including Troubleshooting, installations and calibrations.

• Maintain the Plant's water treatment system as per specifications. This will include water tower and chiller units. Including the Monitoring of water PH, conductivity and chemical applications.

• Knowledge of Industrial sprinkler systems including the verification of specification set points, security measures and pressure testing.

• Basic understanding of system network.
