About the Role:

As a Senior Electromechanical Assembly Technician in our Automated Systems group at Guardant Health, you will play a crucial role in the assembly and integration of electromechanical components within our automation systems. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure the seamless integration of components and the successful assembly of automation systems according to specifications and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Electromechanical Assembly: Assemble electromechanical components including motors, sensors, actuators, controllers, and other hardware components according to engineering drawings and assembly instructions.

  • System Integration: Assist in the integration of electromechanical components into automation systems, ensuring proper alignment, calibration, and functionality.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure that components meet specifications and quality standards.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with electromechanical components and systems, collaborating with engineers to implement timely solutions.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including component inventory, assembly procedures, and quality inspection reports.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

  • Technical certification or associate's degree in electromechanical engineering or a related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of assembly experience

  • Proven experience in electromechanical assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or automation environment.

  • Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, including motors, sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and controllers.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, using Solidworks, reading schematics, and reading assembly instructions.

  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively for assembly and integration tasks.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000 to $183,600. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
