Senior Electrical Estimator

About Us:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team. Thecandidate should have over 10 years of experience in electrical estimation and a proven track record of successfully estimating complex projects.

Job Summary:

As a Senior Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs of electrical projects, from initial concept through to completion. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that all estimates are comprehensive and competitive. Your expertise will play a crucial role in securing new business and ensuring the profitability of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Estimation:

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

• Bid Preparation:

  • Develop and prepare bid proposals for electrical projects.

  • Review and assess bid documents and RFQs (Request for Quotations).

  • Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and client requirements.

• Cost Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough cost analysis to ensure competitive pricing.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and potential risks.

  • Provide value engineering options to clients and project teams.

• Client and Vendor Relations:

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.

  • Solicit and review quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates are aligned with project goals.

  • Provide detailed handover information to project teams post-award.

  • Participate in project meetings to discuss and resolve estimation-related issues.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive of all estimates and related documents.

  • Prepare and present detailed estimation reports to senior management.

  • Update and manage estimating software and databases.

• Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

  • Implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the estimating function.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical estimating.

• Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst, Trimble) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and construction methods.

• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
