As the Senior Electrical Engineering Technician you will be responsible for supporting the Electrical Engineering team in the design and development of low power battery operated medical electronics. In this role you must be experienced with testing electrical designs, assembling prototypes, setup & support of development systems, following test procedures, and documenting test results. Additionally, you must be able to read schematics and follow board designs. This position requires close cooperation with members of engineering team to accomplish project objectives.
Responsibilities:
Provides consultation and execution in the procurement, assembly, test, rework, and troubleshooting of technical products and systems
Active use and/or application of the basic principles, theories, and concepts of electronic and electromechanical systems, including troubleshooting of technical issues
Assemble and modify embedded electronic systems with SMT devices, following electrical schematics and redlines, utilizing hand tools and advanced reworking techniques as necessary
Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies under simulated operating conditions, creating or following detailed procedures, and clearly & concisely reporting on results
Understanding of automated assembly and test processes and operation of advanced test equipment
Collaborate with electrical engineers and other personnel to provide technical assistance and identify, define, and solve issues
Gather and analyze test data in MS Excel or similar to interpret and present test results to team
Works under limited direction; follows established directions and uses judgment within defined practices and procedures
Identifies processes for improvement and develops solutions under guidance from engineering staff
Performs other duties as necessary
Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Self-starter, detail oriented, and effective verbal/written communicator
Basic analysis of electronic circuits
Ethical, responsible, and data-driven decision making methodology
Ability to organize work and judge priorities with moderate guidance
Demonstrated knowledge of executing test protocols, basic data analysis, and reporting
Demonstrated knowledge of comprehending electrical schematics, component datasheets, and PCB designs for the purposes of test and measurement
Lab Rework Equipment Proficiency (soldering iron, hot air station, wire crimping, etc.), particularly on modern components such as BGA and QFN packages at 0.5mm pitch
Lab Test Equipment Proficiency (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Signal Generators, etc.)
Office Software Proficiency (Word, Excel)
Engineering Software Proficiency preferred (Cadence OrCAD, Cadence PCB Editor)
National Instruments LabVIEW proficiency preferred
Testing of RF (specifically BLE) preferred

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $25.05 - $37.67. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
