Raytheon Intelligence & Space is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a position in the Advanced Concepts and Technology Group (ACT) Hardware Engineering Department. The selected candidate will perform design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital, power, analog, control, mixed-signal or electro-mechanical drive electronics for electro-optic military applications. This position will function in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects and the candidate will be expected to apply rigorous and systematic design processes to ensure total design compliance. Other duties include interfacing and leadership of subordinate engineers performing related subordinate tasks, oversight of design product requirements, technical risk assessments, product design effort estimating and scheduling.
This position will be located in the San Diego, CA Raytheon offices, however if you work out of the San Diego area you will be required to occasionally travel to the El Segundo, CA office to support program(s) Lab Activities and/or meetings as the program deems necessary.
5 years of related work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, 3 years with a Master's Degree, or 1 year with a PhD.
Experience with schematic capture, PCB tools and layout of designs
Experience with designing and testing of Mixed-Signal, Power, Control or Electro-Mechanical drive electronics for Electro-Optical systems
Familiarity with circuit card assembly, final assembly, and test manufacturing processes
Experience generating requirements and requirement documents, developing test plans, procedures and test solutions
The ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship is required as only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience with moving from initial concept to architecture then design
Technical leadership and mentoring skills
Able to work autonomously and in collaboration with multi-discipline teaming environment
Experience simulating and modeling of electronic, magnetic or electro-mechanical designs and systems
Experience with SPICE, SabreRD or Simulink
Knowledge of the Mentor Expedition/DxDesigner schematic capture/PCB Layout tools
Analysis tools such as MATLAB, Mathcad, Ansys Electronics Desktop, Hyperlinx PI and SI
Mixed-Signal Control Design, Components, and Firmware development tools
Experience performing requirements analysis and tolerance/error allocations
Working knowledge of EMI/EMC design and abatement
Active U.S. Secret Security clearance
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
