The Power & Electronic Systems Department (PESD) is currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Project Lead with strong technical leadership ability. The project lead will direct teams of electrical engineers in completing custom military electrical hardware design and verification, focusing on planning, proposal development, budgeting, internal and external design reviews, team coordination, issue resolution, and risk and opportunity management.
PESD is responsible for design engineering including the following areas:
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Work closely with a team of engineers to develop proven designs based on system performance and operational specifications
Work to further our department's mastery of digital power conversion concepts, and help develop related best practices.
Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff. Manage related risk discussions. Guide junior engineers on technical presentation skills.
Lead small teams to success with schedule, budget, and technical execution
Engage in personal technical growth, and facilitate technical growth in peers and junior engineers. Help to understand what opportunities are needed to mature the organization on the technical front.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
5+ years related experience
Broad based technical background with experience leading complex technical projects
Experience communicating and documenting technical topics at the small and large team level, and experience presenting to upper levels of management and customers.
Technical leadership experience, including leading the resolution of tough technical challenges
Experience maintaining high performance in a highly dynamic, team based environment
Experience with electrical hardware design and development including design standard adherence
Experience using Microsoft Project, SAP, or other scheduling/cost management tools
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
