Loyal Source is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for our client in Jacksonville, FL.

About the Company

20-year-old MEP engineering firm located in Jacksonville, Florida

Provides mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) designs for military, commercial, and industrial projects.

About the position

Due to growth the firm has an immediate need for a licensed electrical engineer with 5 15 years of facility design experience

The electrical engineer would have experience with power distribution, lighting, and telecommunications design and a thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code

Software skills - AutoCAD and Microsoft Office

The ideal candidate will be proficient with SKM PowerTools or similar power systems analysis software

Must have hands on, direct facility design experience

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineer from ABET accredited university

Licensed PE in FL or the ability to obtain a Florida license

The individual in this position interacts closely with product vendors and service providers and personnel from various IT departments including Application Development, Operations, Network, and Enterprise Architects. Systems Engineers are assigned to the most complex systems, projects and initiatives. The individual maintains support processes, identifies issues, resolves problems, provides training and serves as a technical resource for other IT System Administrators and System Engineers. Primary Activities and Responsibilities: * Plans and implements service request work and has a significant role in the delegation of responsibilities. Is fully accountable for meeting allocated technical objectives. * Establishes milestones for project related work and makes decisions which impact the success of projects and team objectives. Analyzes, designs, plans, executes and evaluates work to time, cost, and quality targets. * Investigates and resolves complex problems requiring an understanding of the relationship between own specialism and wider customer/organizational requirements. Influences organization, customers, suppliers, partners, and peers on the contribution of his own specialism. * Performs an extensive range of complex technical or professional work activities. Undertakes work which requires the application of fundamental IT principles in a wide and open unpredictable range of contexts. * Maintains an awareness of developments in the industry. Takes initiative to keep skills up to date. Mentors colleagues. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems/Technology or related major field of study. * 5 or more years of experience required in systems engineering/administration. Equivalent Minimum Qualifications: * High School diploma/GED * 7 or more years of experience required in systems engineering/administration. Preferred Qualifications: In addition to meeting the above qualifications, any of the following are preferred: * Master's degree from an accredited institution required in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems/Technology or related major field of study. * 3 or more years of experience required in systems engineering/administration. Knowledge and Skills: * Experience working with the latest versions of IBM WebSphere Products, Apache, Tomcat, Jboss, IBM HTTP server. * Hands on experience with administering and architecting middleware environments, including upgrades, deployments, configurations, root cause analysis and troubleshooting. * Scripting experience in wsadmin, jython/python, linux shell scripting. * Developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks for automation * Support and troubleshoot Openshift Enterprise nodes running Liberty container. * Implement POCs, research, evaluate, propose and design new solutions for middleware technologies. * Familiar with load balancer rules in NetScaler Job Requirements: * 5% travel required. * Work hours may vary in length and schedule. Work hours may include a non-standard work week. * Work hours will include involvement with on-call personnel which will include working on weekends and/or outside standard work hours.
