Senior Electrical Engineer

SAIC is currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support our Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) and Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) team located in Lakehurst, NJ.

This is a hybrid remote position requiring you to be onsite in Lakehurst, NJ (Monday/Tuesday required). Open to relocating the best candidates!

An active Interim Secret clearance is required.

General Overview:

• Provides professional electrical engineering technical support to the full scope of assigned projects in naval or maritime applications, including field or on-site engineering services.

• Performs feasibility analyses and design/development, prototyping, testing, and evaluation of new components and engineering changes.

• Develops and reviews plans, specifications, and estimates to identify and resolve technical issues.

• Interprets data and performs studies and investigations to propose new or improved system designs, design criteria, and installation, operational, and maintenance practices.

• Has familiarity with and follows the Systems Engineering process to clearly identify program/project risks and technical barriers.

• Takes direction and tasking from supervisor and senor engineering team leads, provides status, and accomplishes work assignments meeting quality and schedule expectations.

• Performs and documents troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions in support of test site activities and efforts to commission, certify, deliver, and sustain Ford Class aircraft carriers.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering and a minimum of 7 years of experience is required

• Interim Secret clearance required

• Knowledge of ECP process

• Knowledge of troubleshooting systems

• AutoCAD experience required

• Knowledge of cradle to grave system support

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:

• ALRE experience/knowledge preferred
