CMT is looking for a collaborative, customer-committed, and creative electrical engineer who wants to join us in making roads safer by making drivers better!
Responsibilities:
Circuit design and schematic capture of low-power, highly optimized IoT devices
PCB layout of RF, high-density, and high-reliability boards
Test, analyze, debug, and characterize new circuits
Contribute technical leadership to the company as a member of the electrical engineering team
Work closely with diverse cross-functional teams to validate hardware features, improve device performance, and provide leadership and support
Specify, design, and validate new manufacturing or production support equipment; work with other engineering disciplines to implement at the factory
Support operations group to resolve factory outages and issues that require manufacturing equipment or process improvement
Research and qualify alternate parts for improvements and redesign of legacy products
Research and develop next-generation technologies and concepts
Electrical rework for prototyping, validation, and testing purposes
Address or escalate additional tasks to support manufacturing as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and/or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field
4+ years of relevant work experience
Demonstrated hands-on experience in designing, fabricating, and troubleshooting small, low-power electronic devices
Proficiency with electronic CAD tools such as Altium, KiCad, and Eagle for schematic capture and PCB layout
Strong practical knowledge of low-power and RF electrical design concepts, including proficiency with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and multimeters
Experience in soldering, bread-boarding, and PCB reworking, capable of diagnosing and resolving hardware issues effectively
