The Senior Electrical Design Engineer is part of an integrated product team of engineers who design and support embedded controls for General Electric and Rolls Royce aircraft engine control applications.
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer has intermediate knowledge of electronic controller circuits, experience in analog and/or digital processing electrical design and is familiar with control systems.
Lead the Electrical Design effort of development, obsolescence, and root cause investigation projects
Provide technical leadership, oversight, and/or mentorship of junior engineers
Design/modify, simulate, implement, and test new electronic equipment designs to improve operational efficiency
Design and validate circuits to meet specified requirements (DO-254, DO-160, etc.) using the most cost effective and efficient means
Leverage circuit theory, processing system design and development, instrumentation, semiconductor devices and solid-state devices
Work closely with other engineering disciplines (i.e. Software, Mechanical, or Systems engineering) to insure the electrical design is appropriate for the project/product design approach
Bachelor's degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
Experience designing and verifying electronic circuit cards
Digital and analog circuit analysis experience
Processing system design experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
